I don’t know what’s cooler, a bride who kits herself out in blue converse with diamantes or having three huuuuge pork pies instead of a wedding cake…Either way this Yorkshire wedding had both! Having met Craig and Heather a few months ago for their engagement shoot in Leeds city centre, I was super excited about being there to photograph all the quirky details of their special day. And what a day it was! Craig and Heather were married one Friday in October, however anyone would assume they were married peak summer – the weather was THAT good, I mean the sun was out and everything. We even had rainbows.

Craig and Heather were married at Bagden Hall, a wonderful country house hotel in Yorkshire, surrounded by acres upon acres of beautiful, secluded grounds. After the ceremony we were able to whisk the newlyweds away for their portraits, taking full advantage of the scenery. These guys were such fun to photograph, so relaxed and effortless and having a good sense of humour always helps! After the portrait session and the group shots, we all headed to the reception room, where we met the epic three tier pork pie for the first time, complete with Craig and Heather’s own World of Warcraft characters as cake toppers! Amazing. After the meal we were able to grab the couple for a few final shots as the sun set, casting out beautiful, golden light. What a day! And did I mention we had rainbows?!
