I’m Craig and I’m a wedding photographer based between Leeds, York and Harrogate. Although based in Yorkshire, I am more than happy to travel anywhere for a good wedding! Anywhere!? Yep. I love to travel, meet new people and see new things. I love being inspired, captured by a precious moment.

For me, the best photos are those with the natural smiles, the quiet tears and the beautiful charm of children being children. Grandma on the dance floor is always great too! I won’t get in your way or tell you what to do; my job is to capture your special day from start to finish – with the end product being warm, personal and 100% you. I like to take documentary style photos for the majority of the day; this enables me to capture everything as it happens, naturally. Don’t worry though; I also include the all-important group shots! I love to take the happy couple away from everyone for a mini portrait session where we can get some beautiful, creative images that you will remember forever. I aspire to create work that is visually striking, romantic, natural and fun. Nothing over-posed or awkward, I promise!

With me getting married quite recently, I understand the importance of good photography. Our wedding photos take me right back there and I’m reliving each moment – from the crazy nerves waiting for my wife to be, to the incredible joy at sharing the best day with the best people. Photos take me back, and to me that’s what it’s all about.

What you need to know about me – I love my wife Leanne, and our new baby boy Jack. Just a couple of months old but he’s our world and is both a challenge and entertainer in the best possible way! I also love our ridiculously cute dog, Casper – he’s small, white and fluffy, and often goes missing in the snow. If you request a second photographer, Leanne is very experienced and often helps me on the day. We are a great husband and wife team!

I am also passionate about cinema; film is a massive influence on my work. I enjoy the challenge of telling stories through the power of photography. My favourite film is currently between Blade Runner and Drive – I just can’t choose!

We love to travel and enjoy getting lost exploring new places. In recent years we have been to Thailand, Iceland and Croatia – all incredible places. The culture, the food, the scenery. All good fun and some of the most beautiful beaches and wildlife I have ever seen. I captured it all so I’ll never forget. That’s why photography is so important to me – I value the power of the image and understand how precious moments are. If you’re not too careful, they’ll pass you by.
